In the Spotlight...

IGIHOF award

Philanthropy By Design had the distinct honor of being a finalist in the International Green Industry Hall of Fame.

On March 25, 2011, PBD attended the Inaugural Conference and Ceremony at UC Merced, a LEED certified Campus and the newest UC in California. Through our ongoing contribution to "sustainability" over the years we were nominated to be included in this prestigious award ceremony. While we were not selected as one of the six international inductees PBD received a beautiful plaque honoring our outstanding efforts in "creative reuse". WE ARE VERY PROUD!

The ceremony was streamed live and IGIHOF will have more photos and info up on their site shortly. Please check out their IGIHOF website and check out Sam Geil, the Founder of IGIHOF, and all the great "green" work they are doing to make this planet a better place for us and future generations.

What we do

Our mission is to transform nonprofit environments through design.
PBD is a volunteer network of design industry professionals. We renovate the interior environments of community service organizations and save tons of furniture from the landfill through creative reuse. Our work benefits thousands of under served Bay Area residents; at-risk youth, abused women, seniors, AIDS patients and homeless people, bringing them hope, inspiration and comfort.
